Notes about the artist:
Wood Carver Extraordinaire!
The extraordinary detail in Joe's work has earned him blue ribbons in both Maine and Canadian competitions. His ability to render details comes from first hand knowledge of Maine wildlife, much of it gained in his career as a Maine warden. His fine craftsmanship skills are a natural gift which he has honed over a lifetime of experience. Joe's lovely and exquisitely carved and painted wood feather necklaces (scroll down to see them) attract our customers to buy as gifts for others and keepsakes for themselves.
WHALES:
In addition to his polished sculptures of whales in 3-dimension, Joe creates wall mounts (shown below) which have the character of folk art and are joyfull to behold. Average length is 26".
Each piece is signed and numbered by the artist on the back where a hanging device is secured.
SALMON COMMISSIONS
