YEAR BUILT & HISTORY:  Exactly when the original School Street building was built is unknown to us.However, during the second half of the 20th century the smaller-than-present building served as Grace Morgan's Dew Drop Inn tea room on School Street in downtown Lubec.  Later it housed the public library in Lubec; in 1965 the mortgage was paid off there. This building was moved (1979?) by a realtor to North Lubec Road adjacent to the Grange building when plans were developed to build a new Lubec Memorial Library (completed 2007). A lovely upstairs studio apartment was added along with the 15x20 addition at the rear to serve as the realtor's office; a poured concrete foundation supports the current building at 10 North Lubec Road providing extra storage space in a useful basement. When the realtor moved to new office space;  after a few years of disuse and neglect, we purhased this building & renovated the interior to become the ARTWORKSOFMAINE Gallery 2012-2021. We also purchased the Lubec Grange next door to become the ARTWORKSOFMAINE visual and performing arts center 2012-2021. This building is move-in condition and the Lubec Grange still serves the public as the Lubec Grange Flea Market offering antiques, vintage wares, and many treasures
